I was born in Lilburn, GA (close to the Atlanta area) and lived there up until college. In high school, I was part of a state champion soccer team (Go Panthers!). Eventually, I went on to Wingate University (in Wingate, NC) to play college soccer and cheer for our basketball team. I joined a sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, and became a part of our Student Government Association. Upon graduating in 2007, I moved to Raleigh, NC. For the first 4.5 years of my teaching career, I worked at a small school in Granville County. During this time, I also obtained a Masters in Reading from ECU. In December 2011, I transitioned to Wake County to work at Durant Road Middle School, which is where I taught for 5.5 years. Now, I am so fortunate to be a member of the PHMS Family. Go Pilots!
